Closet Talk

What is Closet Talk?

Closet Talk is a show on Blog Talk Radio hosted by Jay Morris of jaysays.com.  The show focuses on issues relevant to the LGBT community, life before and after the closet, the effects of coming out (for better or worse) and current news and events.  Everyone’s story is different.  Interviewees will be providing insight into their lives and the struggles with sexuality, religion and family as well as information on what they are doing to improve life for LGBT people.  The show airs every Wednesday.

Can I be a guest on Closet Talk?

There are a few variables there, but the goal is to have stories from all sorts of people who have dealt with “coming out.”  If you are interested in being a guest, please contact me via the contact page or by calling 210-880-LGBT.

Do I get paid for being a Guest?

Yes, but not money.  You get the satisfaction of knowing that your story helped someone who is walking in the shoes you’ve already walked in.  Progress is payment.

What’s the point?

Regardless of where you fall into the LGBTQAI spectrum, life is notably more difficult for you.  You are denied certain rights, your status on the social ladder is jeopardized or your family might even turn you away. Closet Talk is intended to tell our stories so that others may gain insight into what to expect, learn from those that have been there and be proactive in working toward a life of non-discrimination.

So what’s next?

Shows are every Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. Central Time.  You can listen live or in the archive.

Where can I learn more?

You can learn more by visiting the Closet Talk Show Page on Blog Talk Radio.  For your convenience, a player is provided below which will play shows as they become available.  All shows stream live and are archived for your listening pleasure.  They are even downloadable to your iPod or MP3 Player FREE.
